Maybe if the bus were in pristine condition, but broken windows, a base bus that’s older than I am, and a paintjob that looks like it was abandoned in a forest? $10-15k at the most

considering the time that would have gone into setting that up, i reckon NP.

Schoolbus? There aren’t enough windows. Looks more like it was a bookmobile or something.
Also, I bet that thing reeks of incense.
Decision: Crack Pipe (or Peyote Pipe in this case)

That’s a very well done conversion yes the paint is terrible, but the interior is well thought out and nicely finished. That said if you head to Florida buy a diesel pusher that has like 20,000 miles on it for that amount.
So ask yourself this, would you rather have an RV formally owned by hippie artists or octogenarians?

I’d price it about the same. And the thing would be VERY heavy, not something you’d really want to drive anywhere.

I’d say it’s got more character value than $$ value. Nobody’s going to want to pay you for your effort and time, usually, except you pay yourself in the currency of self satisfaction.

I’d say $10k max. And yes, a maintenance nightmare if you actually wanted to drive it anywhere.

The latter, then steer it toward the former.

I have no idea what decommissioned school busses go for, but I call CP for the transformation. yes, it has everything you need, but at that price point, I would expect it to look decent too.

I think the bus itself would be worth less than $10,000, in stock form. Even though the guy’s mods are attractive and functional, I do not think they add a great deal of monetary value, thought they might, to the right buyer. But I can’t see it fetching more than $15k.

There is a crack in the drivers side front window, as well as a spiderweb crack on one pane of the entry door. The estimate for replacing these is about $700.
It’s his idea of what is good. Not mine. Don’t care how much he spent. I’m not paying that so he can get his money back unless he rebuilds it the way I want.
You will not get any money back that you spend customizing a vehicle for yourself.
Never, Ever.

Agreed. Honestly, I did not look closely at the listing for that exact reason. I’d like to buy a used school bus someday and customize it and drive around in it with my wife, but it would not be a great lumbering hulk like that one is.
If someone customized a vehicle for a specific use, as this fellow has, and his specs line up with your needs, then perhaps he can recoup some money. But such an alignment of purpose and specs will be exceedingly rare.
